Most of us know that prevention is much easier than repair.  Especially when we’re young, we can easily forget how important our posture is and the affect it can have in adulthood. Posture plays a vital role in  back pain and other types of dysfunction that can happen down the road.

Neurologically based chiropractic care has the ability to help prevent problems before they even occur.  Research shows that chiropractic care improves posture, therefore aiding in lowering the probability of back pain in the future. Less subluxation of the spine equals better quality of life and the ability to do  what we love without the distraction of pain.

Everyone at some point plays video games, looks down at a phone, has to sit for long periods at a computer, or stand for long periods at work. Wear and tear is inevitable, but getting adjusted gives relief to the dysfunction that’s bound to happen.

“After his first visit Carson’s neck was relaxed!”

For years, Carson suffered with a stiff neck and an awkward upper-body sway as he walked.  He never enjoyed normal childhood activities such as running.  Nothing helped Carson until his parents understood that neurologically based chiropractic care works to remove nerve interference which affects the whole body.  Josh and Maria were willing to try anything for their 12-year-old son and started bringing Carson in regularly for adjustments.  After his first visit, his neck was relaxed. A stiff neck was all Carson ever knew up until this point.  After the second visit, he absolutely lost the sway in his upper body! Carson’s family is seeing amazing results in the way his body is functioning under regular chiropractic care.

“We recommend chiropractic care!”

“Chiropractic care has been well explained by Dr. Micheal and his staff, especially regarding cause, effect, and outcome.  Down the road, Carson will avoid medication and possible surgery by having this corrected.”

What if we could be limitless? What if we could function at our best and full potential without pain weighing us down?  Thankfully, neurologically based chiropractic care can give us those options.

Believe it or not, back pain can actually increase mortality rate.  This makes total sense, because how can we focus on taking care of ourselves when all we can think about is how much pain we’re in? We must get to the root of the issue instead of just masking symptoms.  It’s time to stop letting subluxation take away our quality of life.

Many people choose chiropractic for other reasons, such as prevention. It’s much easier to prevent than fix, so giving our bodies the chance to function optimally before underlying issues occur is truly “nipping it in the bud,” thereby stopping many issues before they even start.

True, it may seem like an easier way out to just try and mask the pain – but imagine if there was a way to get rid of it completely.  Chiropractic gives us that option, and with time and repetition, we can allow our bodies to heal and function the way God intended – and wouldn’t it be amazing to truly live instead of just exist?

Lee’s Story:

For many years, Lee suffered with back pain, sharp pain when sitting or standing, and pain when bending over.  Unfortunately, this restricted his activities, including his love for running.  After receiving chiropractic care, Lee had less pain and was able to run again.  Even after having a couple major setbacks due to woodsplitting and ax work, he still saw improvement in back pain, neck motion, and better posture.  Lee’s wife and sons now also get adjusted, which has resulted in less pain for them as well. Lee recommends chiropractic care to anyone who is sick, suffering, or in pain. “The office is positive, uplifting, and encouraging.”

Subluxation on one single nerve can cause a multitude of issues.  For example, Bell’s Palsy is a condition that causes partial to complete facial paralysis, resulting in one side of the face, eye, and mouth to droop. This can be pretty scary, as these symptoms are similar to those of a stroke!  Paralysis of the face can cause drooling, dry eyes, inability to make facial expressions, loss of taste, and headaches – just to name a few.  The facial nerve controls these functions, and if there’s pressure on it, there is no wonder we can see such a multitude of issues!

A recent study shows an elderly man with Bell’s Palsy who decided to try chiropractic after no lasting relief with steroids or eye drops.  After time and repetition with chiropractic care, his facial paralysis was completely gone!

It’s important to remember that chiropractic is not a cure, but when the brain, spinal cord and body can communicate without interruption, the body can function the way God intended.

Judy’s Chiropractic Story

My family and I did not get sick this past year!

Judy had pain in her upper back and shoulders, allergies, palsy, and glaucoma.  “My pain levels were often a level 6-7, the palsy was mild but progressively getting worse, and my allergies were severe and debilitating at times.”

Previous care only gave her mild or temporary relief. After getting adjusted, Judy says, “Some effects which were immediate were better sleep and remembering dreams.  Gradually the pain decreased, and flexibility increased.  My family and I did not get sick this past year! The office is very friendly, thorough, and informative.”

Recurring pain and symptoms can be anything from frustrating to debilitating.  Many patients often have no idea when pain or flareups will occur.  This can be disruptive in our busy lives and potentially cause depression and fear of the unknown.  So how can we predict these flare ups and keep them from happening?

Some patients prefer to just “work through the pain”  or “take it as it comes.”  Maintenance care has been found to be more effective than merely getting adjusted in the presence of symptoms.  Symptoms should not be treated as they come up, but rather work to prevent them from returning.

An important thing about chiropractic care is that consistent time and repetition yields the best results. Chiropractic maintenance can help pain not to return in the future.  Research has shown that maintenance care provides a patient with less pain in their life than just getting adjusted when there are symptoms present.  Improving the structure of the spine with chiropractic care can lessen the time and chance of a flare up so patients can enjoy a better quality of life.

Life is not just about being “okay,” but thriving!

At six months into my care, I am walking virtually pain free!

I have one leg shorter than the other, causing a limp, hip pain, knee pain, ankle pain and low back pain.  My hips were way out of alignment.  I’m disabled due to this condition, and have suffered with it for 21 years.  My orthopedist has done surgery on my right leg five times, and my physical therapist helped me to walk somewhat normally.

My wife was already a practice member with Dr. Micheal, but I was skeptical about trying chiropractic care to help with my symptoms.  However, I told Dr. Micheal that if my wife saw improvement, I would become a patient.  She improved, I became a patient, and I have nothing but praise for Dr. Micheal, his staff, and God!!!

At six months into my care, I am walking virtually pain free!  My hip, knee, ankle and back pain are almost eliminated completely!  I am walking just about normal with little to no limp.  My wife is being treated for fibromyalgia, back pain, degenerative disc, and sciatic nerve problems, and has seen improvement as well.

I recommend neurologically based chiropractic care with Dr. Micheal!  This unorthodox and different method has improved the quality of my life dramatically!

Spinal Degeneration is an often painful condition that erodes the spine’s ability to handle stress. The discs begin to lose water content that should be present to absorb shock during motion. While almost everyone experiences some level of degeneration after 40 due to the everyday wear and tear of life, the degeneration can be accelerated in those who have overly strained their spine. Some patients with spinal degeneration may eventually begin to experience numbness and tingling in the arms or legs in addition to back pain.

Prolonged spinal degeneration can significantly contribute to Multiple Sclerosis due to the altering of fluid flow between the spinal cord and brain. MS is also associated with disc dehydration, posterior disc protrusion, and abnormal posture. Recent research shows that 60% of people over 50 have some degree of degeneration. Chiropractic care can help restore proper function of the spinal column even with the presence of degeneration. Many patients with MS have seen much improvement in their condition with regular chiropractic adjustments!

“With consistent care my spurs, bulging disc and disc degeneration disappeared.”

I have suffered from severe chronic disc degeneration, spur complexes and a bulging disc for years. I tried physical therapy, other chiropractors and acupuncture with no change. Any medications I tried offered no relief.

I definitely had my doubts about coming to another chiropractic office, especially since I tried it before and didn’t see any results. I was reluctant to give it a chance, but I was desperate to get rid of the pain. Dr. Micheal was very patient and understanding with me. Everyone in the office was beyond nice. I decided to start care and see if I noticed improvement. After consistent care I noticed huge results. I could bend over and walk up stairs without pain in my back or legs. I no longer woke up with back pain and my MRI results came back as stable and near normal. My bulging disc, spurs and disc degeneration that I was previously diagnosed with had disappeared according to my MRI!

The whole office is very informed and knowledgeable.  I would definitely recommend chiropractic care to others.
